Grocery Bag

We are back and ready for another week!

Day One
with apple slices 
I separate the ingredients on the plate for my kids to ward off skepticism.
The sauce is one of my favorites!

and potato salad with mint, peas and corn
Fine Cooking has a great tool for "create your own" dishes. 
I'll use it this week to create a perfect potato salad to go with our salmon.

Day Three
Penne and meatballs from Everyday Food Magazine
with homemade bread & strawberry spinach salad
This is one of my favorite meatball recipes because they finish cooking in the sauce.

Day Four
with homemade bread
Couscous is a favorite in our house.  It's both fast and delicious.  
This is a great one bowl vegetarian dish; chopped, cooked chicken can be easily added.

Day Five
Salsa chicken salad with cheddar cheese grits 
This will be a HEJ original, so I'll post the recipe later this week.
Roasted okra is our new favorite vegetable: easy and delicious.
