Divine Mercy Sunday was a true celebration for us this past weekend.
Godfather G was in town and graced us with a visit.
Our house was buzzing with the arrival of such a celebrity!
We had a special lunch all together after church.
We opened the Resurrection Eggs that the kids received on Easter Sunday from Nana.
What a wonderful way to recall the events we celebrated last weekend, while
highlighting God's great love and mercy for all of us! After we opened each egg, we all practiced our "Jesus, I trust in you" prayer.
The kids loved taking turns opening each of the eggs.
Buddy Bear got the last egg (which was empty -- can you guess why?).
It took some explaining, but we finally convinced him that the empty egg was most important.
Then, after bedtime, T and I watched highlights from the canonization of Popes John Paul II and John XXIII. What a Easter treat.
