First Park of the Season

Today was a big day -- our first trip of the year to a playground!  It was 55 degrees, sunny and breezy today, so we packed a picnic lunch, which we enjoyed in the car in the playground parking lot (still too cold for me to eat outside!!) and then hit the playground for some spring swinging and sliding fun.  The kids were quick to point out that this park wasn't dirty (meaning: all the snow had melted and the sand wasn't muddy), which of course was a relief to all of us, since the park by our house still has piles of snow on the baseball field!

Here's hoping our "Park Opener" today sets the stage for more fun spring days.
