(Not) Back to School

We started the New Year with two extra days off of school.  Whoo hoo!  Frigid weather has its perks after all.  We've had a great time the past two days, tucked in our snuggly house, practicing math problems, reading stories and playing games.

By far, Buddy Bear has the greatest news to share.  He has sat on the potty twice, and has been successful both times.  I am not claiming full fledged potty training yet.  We are still a long way from that.  But, cold-weather home days are perfect for sitting on the potty morning, noon or night.  Buddy Bear loves to have me read potty books to him as he sits on the throne:

"Mommy, Mommy, please you read the potty book??"

Hopefully, we're setting the stage for the future, when I have more energy for potty training.

Tomorrow, we're officially back on the school schedule.  And we're off.....
